DIRECTIONS FOR A COMPLETE ARC PACKAGE
Please complete the form below. The following MUST be included either in the PROJECT DESCRIPTION section below or as an attachment to the application to be considered complete:
- Description of the project to be completed.
- Current photo of the existing home.
- Materials, styles and/or colors being used as part of improvement. Photos are encouraged and sometimes required.
- On a copy of your plat, draw the location of the improvement you are planning to make. If you do not have a copy of your plat, you can obtain one at Frederick County GIS. Scroll down and click on 'Property Explorer.' From there, you are able to select parcel identifier which will give you an electronic view of the lot lines/plat, or you can request a printed copy.
- A plat showing location of improvement is always required for new or replacement fences, sheds, decks, patios and pools. Plat is not required for things such as painting, replacing shutters, gutters, etc.
- Provide all information in 8.5" x 11" format. The ARC cannot reduce blueprints.
- If you are replacing your roof, include in the project description whether or not you have a shed and if so, will the replacement roof match the shed roof? If not, will the shed roof be replaced at the same time?
- If you are installing a shed, include the overall height in the dimensions and confirm that the color and materials are consistent with the color and materials of the home, this includes the roof.
***THE MORE PHOTOS AND/OR EXAMPLES YOU CAN PROVIDE TO GIVE THE ARC A VISUAL OF WHAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO DO, THE LESS QUESTIONS THERE TYPICALLY ARE***
YOU CAN ONLY ATTACH ONE FILE AT THE TIME OF SUBMITTING THE REQUEST. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO SUBMIT MORE, YOU WILL NEED TO SUBMIT THE INITIAL REQUEST AND THEN GO BACK INTO YOUR TICKET AND ADD MORE ATTACHMENTS UNDER THE ATTACHMENTS SECTION OF THE TICKET. PLEASE DO NOT SUBMIT MULTIPLE REQUESTS FOR THE SAME PROJECT JUST TO SUBMIT MORE ATTACHMENTS.
Dear Homeowner,
Please take the time to read the instructions for the Architectural Review Request Form and plan well in advance. Homeowners should review the Covenants and Guidelines for their home before submitting their request to the Architectural Review Committee (ARC). Covenants were part of your closing paperwork. Remember that each Clover Hill subdivision has unique Covenants and Guidelines.
Click here for Covenants. Click here for Guidelines.
The ARC meets once a month in an open meeting setting. Requests must be received no less than 2 business days before the next scheduled meeting to allow sufficient review time. The ARC approval time frame begins upon receipt of a COMPLETE PACKAGE, see below. If an incomplete package is received, a new review period begins upon resubmission of a complete request by the homeowner. If resubmissions are received in less than 2 business days prior to the upcoming meeting, review and consideration for approval will be delayed until the next scheduled ARC meeting.
Please be aware that if changes are made without ARC approval, you may be asked to remove any new structures or to reverse the changes made. Owner may also be responsible for legal costs associated with compliance enforcement. If there is any doubt whether ARC approval is required for a particular project, call the CHCA office: 301-228-2799 or email: arc@cloverhill.org.
